About the author:

The actor, comedian, and vaudevillian Fyvush Finkel died on Sunday at the age of ninety-three. Starting in the New York Yiddish theater when he was nine years old, he got his big break at the age of seventy when he was cast in the television series Picket Fences, a role that won him an Emmy award. He also performed in the original Broadway production of Fiddler on the Roof, as well as in a number of television shows and Hollywood films. Herewith, an interview with Finkel by Michael Stoler.
