On February 14, the Israeli foreign minister Eli Cohen visited Ankara and met with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Cohen’s primary purpose was to express solidarity with Turkey in the aftermath of last week’s devastating earthquake and to reassure its government that Israeli humanitarian aid would continue. But the meeting also gave both parties a chance to reaffirm the thaw in their relations that began last year.
