Long before October 7, the anti-Israel trends on college campuses, and within the American left more broadly, were already apparent to those paying attention. One of the very first to note the warning signs was Ruth R. Wisse, who had been commenting about this topic for years when she wrote her essay “Anti-Semitism Goes to School” in Mosaic—a work that now seems almost prophetic.
