What does a Mosaic subscription get me?
A subscription—at $5.99 a month or at a discounted rate of $40.00 a year—provides you with unlimited access to Mosaic across any and all of your web devices. This includes our Monthly Essays and their accompanying response pieces—deep looks at issues and themes of pressing significance; our Observations—topical pieces on a myriad of subjects; and our daily Editors’ Picks—a curated selection of the day’s most important items from around the web.

What methods can I use to pay?
We accept credit cards. Your credit-card information is kept highly secure by our payments-processing service Stripe. If you don’t have a credit card, email us at [email protected] and we’ll try to work something out.
Can you see my credit card number?
No. Our payments-processing service Stripe only lets us see the last four digits and the expiration date.
Do I get a physical copy of Mosaic with my subscription?
No. Mosaic is on the web only.
Do you offer a special student rate?

What is Mosaic‘s cancellation policy?
You can cancel your subscription at any time. When you cancel a monthly plan, we’ll stop charging your credit card the following month. For an annual plan, you can receive a prorated refund based on how much time is left on your subscription, or you can continue to read Mosaic until your subscription expires. Just email us at [email protected] and we’ll sort it out for you.
Can I still read Mosaic if I don’t subscribe?
Yes. You can sign up for a Mosaic account here, and get unlimited access to the magazine for two months, completely free.
How do I log in?
Click the “LOG IN” button on the top right corner of our homepage, or click this link. Then carefully enter your email address and password, and press “Log In.”
I’m a subscriber but I’ve forgotten my log-in info. What do I do?

How do I change my password?
First, log in to your Mosaic account with your email address and password here. Then go to the account page. Under the “Login Information” tab, type in your new password, type it in again in the confirmation box, then select “Update.”
Can I donate to Mosaic?
Yes! We appreciate your support. Just go right here and fill out your information. But before you donate, make sure you’re subscribed to the magazine first—we want all our supporters to have access to everything we publish.
How do I renew my subscription?
For your convenience, all subscriptions renew automatically. If you’ve subscribed to an annual plan, you’ll receive a reminder email several weeks before the subscription renews and your credit card is charged.
If I live outside the U.S., do I have to pay a special international rate?
The subscription rate is the same regardless of where you are in the world. All subscriptions are charged in U.S. dollars.
Does one subscription cover multiple devices?
Yes. Computer, phone, tablet—one subscription is all you need. Just make sure to log in on each device.
Can you send me a receipt or invoice for a payment I made?
We can. Just send an email to [email protected] and we’ll happily provide you one.
Why aren’t Mosaic emails coming to my inbox?
First, make sure you’re signed up for the emails you want; log in to your Mosaic account with your email address and password right here. Then go to the account page. Under the tab “Email Newsletter Settings” select the email newsletter you want, then select “Save Changes.”
If you’ve done that and you’re still not receiving our emails, there’s a couple things that could be going on. It’s possible our newsletters are getting caught in your spam folder, so you might check that. If you’re on a corporate email, you might want to check with your network administrator as well; some corporate networks filter mass emails out before they arrive. If that doesn’t help, email us at [email protected] and we’ll try our best to get it sorted out.
I’ve paid for Mosaic. Why can’t I read the magazine?
You might not be logged in to Mosaic, which means our system will be unable to recognize you as a subscriber. To log in, click the “LOG IN” button on the top right corner of our homepage, or click this link. Then carefully enter your email address and password, then press “Log In.” If that doesn’t work, send us an email at [email protected].
How do I change my payment information?
After logging in to Mosaic, click the button on the top right corner of our homepage that says “My Account”, or go here. Then click the option that says “Billing Information.” From there you can enter your new credit card information. Once you’ve entered it, click “Update Payment Method.” If you have trouble, email us at [email protected].
Why do I have to log in every time I read Mosaic?
Mosaic is a paid magazine, so we track who is a subscriber by using subscription accounts. If you’re a subscriber, in order to read Mosaic you have to log in to your account. However, you shouldn’t should have to log in every time you want to read Mosaic. Most devices will require you to log in initially, but after that you should only have to log in periodically.
If you have to log in whenever you go to the website, there’s a few things you should check. First, make sure “Cookies” are enabled. You can check that within your browser settings—this will allow the website to “remember” you. Second, make sure the auto sign-in function is enabled, as well as the “offer to save passwords.” These options are also in your browser settings, probably under a “Passwords” section. If you adjusted these settings, but you still have to log in every time you want to read Mosaic, send us an email at [email protected] and we’ll see what else we can do to help.
