What does a Mosaic subscription get me?
A subscription—at $4.99 a month or at a discounted rate of $30.00 a year—provides you with unlimited access to Mosaic across any and all of your web devices. This includes our Monthly Essays and their accompanying response pieces, deep looks at issues and themes of pressing significance; our Observations, topical pieces on a myriad of subjects; and our daily Editors’ Picks, a curated selection of the day’s most important items from elsewhere around the web.
Do I get a physical copy of Mosaic with my subscription?
No. Mosaic is on the web only.
How do I subscribe?

What methods can I use to pay?
We accept credit cards. Your credit-card information is kept highly secure by our payments-processing service Stripe. If you don’t have a credit card, email us at email@example.com and we’ll try to work something out.
Can you see my credit card number?
No. Our payments-processing service Stripe only lets us see the last four digits and the expiration date.
Do you offer a special student or educator rate?
Not at the moment, but possibly in the future.
Can I give a Mosaic subscription as a gift?
Yes! The ability to send a gift subscription will be ready a few days after the subscription model launches.
What is Mosaic‘s cancellation policy?
You can cancel your subscription at any time. When you cancel a monthly plan, we will stop charging your card the following month. For an annual plan, you can receive a prorated refund based on how much time is left on your subscription. Just email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll sort it out for you.
Can I still read Mosaic if I don’t subscribe?
Yes. You can read one free article per month as a guest, and two additional free articles per month upon registration.
I’m a subscriber but I’ve forgotten my log-in info. What do I do?
How do I renew my subscription?
For your convenience, all of our subscriptions renew automatically. If you’ve subscribed to an annual plan, you’ll receive a reminder email several weeks before the subscription is renewed and your credit card is charged.
If I live outside the U.S., can I pay a special international rate?
The rate for full access is the same regardless of where you are in the world. All subscriptions are charged in U.S. dollars.
Does one subscription cover multiple devices?
Yes. Computer, phone, tablet—one subscription is all you need. Just make sure to log in on each device.
Can you send me a receipt or invoice for a payment I made?
We can. Just send an email to email@example.com and we’ll happily provide you one.
Why am I not seeing any emails from Mosaic in my inbox even though I
signed up for them?
It’s possible our newsletters are getting caught in your spam folder, so you might check that. If you’re on a corporate email, you might want to check with your network administrator as well; some corporate networks filter mass emails out before they arrive at a user level. If that doesn’t help, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll try our best to get it sorted out.
I subscribed to Mosaic but I’m still being told I’ve read all my free
articles for the month. What’s going on?
You might not be logged in to Mosaic, which means our system will be unable to recognize you as a subscriber. To log in, click the “LOG IN” button on the top right corner of our homepage, or click this link. Then enter your email and password. If that doesn’t work, send us an email at email@example.com.
If I subscribe at the end of a calendar month, will me free trial only last
as long as there are days left in the month?
No, our free trial lasts for 30 days from when you first subscribe.
Does Mosaic offer institutional subscriptions?
Yes. We charge $100 per year for an institutional subscription. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to get started.
How do I update my payment information?
After logging in to Mosaic, click the button on the top right corner of our homepage that says “MY ACCOUNT”, then click the option that says “BILLING INFORMATION.” From there you can fill your new credit card information. Once you’ve entered it, click the“update payment method” button. If you need any assistance, feel free to email us at email@example.com.
